Andrea Arthur Michaels, IIDA
  David Leroy Michaels, IIDA

Andrea Michaels creates beautiful, functional interiors. Frequently her work also includes an evaluation of existing space and a projection of future space needs based on the project's program of needs. With more than twenty five years years of experience in design in partnership with her husband David, she knows well the difference between a general building program of desired capacities and the realities of what such a program will actually yield in a contemporary facility. From simple to complex layouts for furnishings and equipment, Andrea tests anticipated solutions to insure the architectural plan properly addresses organization, work flow, security and ease of administration.

A sought-after speaker on design, and a professional member of International Interior Design Association, she gives seminars throughout the country on libraries, programming and design issues. She is an active member of the American Library Association and is Chair of the Buildings and Equipment Section of the Library Administration and Management Association. She has been a frequent presenter at ALA's National Conference.
