Academic and Research Library Project Information
BELLO CENTER FOR INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGYBryant College, a leader in student-center business and management education, wanted to build a world-class information center that would incorporate and support current, leading-edge information technology as well as a traditional collection of print materials. Michaels Associates was engaged to lead the programming process of the building and work closely with Library Director, Mary Maroney, and Gwathmey-Siegel & Associates Architects as they developed a bold, new vision for a state-of-the-art new library and other campus buildings. Conceived as a center for scholarship, not just as space for access to materials in print and digital formats, the new edifice will house extended hours collaborative and informal studies, a digital cafe, electronic classrooms, the Academic Center for Excellence and, in the Grand Hall, space where faculty, alumni and students may find a place for discourse, network with international leaders in business, watch breaking news on the large video wall, or participate in major conferences and receptions.
